The XLR8 MACh Carrier G4 SSE (also referred to as MPe) , is designed with six-slot systems in mind. This complete G4 ZIF CPU plus CarrierZIF SSE adapter includes a special "six-slot hardware" adjustment that allows the card to wait for multiple (4 or more) superfast, bursting PCI cards. Like the original, larger CarrierZIF universal upgrade adapter, you can continue upgrade your Mac simply by changing the ZIF CPU daughtercard.
OSX users get an instant boost above and beyond normal CPU speeds because Apple has optimized OSX to scream on a G4 CPU. Plus, MAChCarrier is the only card that uses removable ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) sockets which allow you to upgrade again later by simply changing the CPU - and not the whole card.
